For Jesse Bethel, (15-8, 6-0) their excellent conference play has been a result of excellent guard play by their top three scorers, Brandon Allison, Dakarria Peterson, and Malcolm Bracy. However, a winning team must have excellent play from their role players. Jesse Bethel seniors DeAngelo Gomez, Xavier Patton and, Dezel Gilton, have performed well in their roles this season.

DeAngelo Gomez and Dezel Gilton, rounds up the Bethel Starting five, as they help control the paint, and provide scoring from inside. Gilton has had a few breakout games in conference, including a 21 point 17 rebound performance, to help knock off league favorite Vanden High School(Fairfield, CA). Gomez is averaging just under a double double for Bethel, and has guarded much bigger post players. Many players on the team believe he may be the most versatile player on the team, because of his ability to play the high post, guard post players, and shoot from the outside. Xavier Patton is the team's backup point guard, and is the team's best floor general. Patton's minutes for Bethel have been crucial to their team's success. The team really follows Patton's lead, and feed off of the energy he brings.

As Bethel heads into the final stretch of the season, they have high hopes of making a run at the state playoffs for the first time since 2013. With these role players making an impact, Bethel could be equipped for making a huge run!
