Under Armour Combine Showcases Rising Stars

When: UA Next Combine Series East – Washington, D.C. – Saturday April 30, 2016

Where: St. John’s College High School

The Combine Series was an invite only program that offered eighth graders high-level teaching, instruction and competition.  The program will run for a full day in each of the following six cities nationwide, including: Washington, D.C., Columbus, Ohio, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston and Walnut Creek, California.

The “UA Next Combine Series” is for current eighth grade players (Class of 2020) and 40 total players will be selected at each location. Players will compete for invitations to the prestigious “UA Next Experience” at the Under Armour Elite 24 this August in New York City.

“UA Next Combine Series” is the latest program from Under Armour’s Grassroots Basketball platform. It is the purpose of these events to provide youth basketball players with the opportunity to hone their skills and maximize exposure in high-level teaching and competitive environments. The platform aligns with Under Armour’s mission to “Make All Athletes Better.”

 

Standout players from the Under Armour Next Combine Series class of 2020.

 

Jordan Toles - 6'2 Guard - Baltimore MD. Athletic player who relentlessly gets to the basket. Strong player finishes through contact. Able to dunk in the 8th grade like a HS. Sr. Needs to improve his handle and jump shot to be an effective HS.player.

 

Rahim Ali - 5'11 Guard - Towson MD. Quick, tough point guard. Sets up teammates for easy baskets. Good penetrator gets where he wants to go. Needs to improve his jump shot and strength to be an effective HS. player.

 

Noah Farrakhan - 6'0 - Guard - Union NJ. Above average ball handler, great penetrator - hard to keep out the lane, finishes at the rim, good athlete. Needs to improve his jump-shot and strength to be an effective HS. player.

 

A.J. Hoggard - 6'2- Guard - Parkesburg PA. Strong frame point guard, above average ball handler, good change of speed, good penetrator and finisher. Needs to improve quickness, defensive footwork and strength to be in an effective HS. player.

 

Trey Hall - 6'7 - Forward - Glastonbury Conn. Good size small forward, with 3-point range, able to finish in the lane. Needs to improve quickness, post-play, ball-handling, shot selection to be an effective HS. player.

 

Justin Lewis - 6'6 - Forward - Baltimore Md. Strong body forward may grow to PF size has strong base for post play. Raw, athletic, good timing effective shot-blocker. Needs to improve offensive skills, post-play, and short range shooting.

 

Che Evans Jr. - 6'6 - Guard - Baltimore Md. Tall versatile guard, good handle for size, decent passer, average shooter, deceptively athletic. Needs to improve his intensity, has all the tools to be high major prospect with continued work on his game and added strength
