HS / Club News & Notes

1. When a player of Jordan Tucker’s profile weighs transfer options, the nation’s notable prep powers seem like potential destinations. Division-I launchpad factories such as Oak Hill Academy (VA.), Monteverde Academy (Fla.) and Findlay Prep (LV) would seem logical. The 6-foot-7 perimeter shooter and rising sophomore announced via Twitter he’ll be transferring from White Plains to Stepinac, the Tigers’ longtime arch rival.

2. Class of 2016 star Dedric Lawson plans to reclassify, graduate high school next year and enroll at Memphis for the 2015-16 season, his father told CBSSports.com.

3. 2015 Mater Dei playmaker, Rex Pfluger committed to Mike Brey and Notre Dame. It looks like Pfluger will be able to come in as a freshman and be a major component for Brey and the Irish next season.

4.  Beverly Hills HS, 2015 Versatile Big Fella Chance Comanche has committed to Sean Miller and the Wildcats. The desert might be the hottest destination point for elite level recruits as Miller continues to secure high level California talent.

5.  2018 Tempe Corona del Sol 6-foot-10 freshman Marvin Bagley III has yet to compete in his first high school basketball contest.  Weeks ago he landed a number of high level scholarship offers, Sean Miller & Arizona are the latest and most prestigious to offer the youngster. Bagley ranks among the best players in the nation regardless of class.

6. Thon Maker is settling in at his new school, Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario, and could still reclassify to 2015, which would make him eligible for the 2016 NBA Draft where he could be the No. 1 overall pick.

7. Doral Moore, a 7-foot center from Montverde (FL) Academy, is off the board to Wake Forest.

8. Henry Ellenson, the 6-foot-10 Rice Lake (WI) power forward, has committed to Marquette following his recent visit to the Big East school.

9. The " Marcus Lovett Saga " continues. One of the top ranked point guards in the national class of 2015, is transferring to Morgan Park (South Side, Chicago ). Lovett, a  6-0 senior, previously played at San Gabriel Academy in San Gabriel, California.
