NC Runnin’ Rebels

DIRECTOR: Aaron Clyburn
LOCATION: P.O. Box 46836, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27620

The North Carolina Runnin’ Rebels is a non-profit organization, created to give young boys and girls the opportunity to participate in competitive basketball. Our goal is to allow the youth, through basketball, to experience their world in new ways, while working to make positive changes in their lives. We strive to provide opportunities for personal growth and development of youth athletes while also reinforcing positive influences, self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to excel on and off the court. The mission of the North Carolina Runnin' Rebels is to foster positive development of youth through basketball. We will strive to teach not only basketball lessons but to teach life lessons as well by building confidence, character and integrity. The primary focus of the organization is to provide competitive, informative basketball training with a strong emphasis on personal discipline, team work and sportsmanship. We encourage positive learning and character traits for all of the participants in our program. We accomplish this by carefully monitoring the behavior of the kids both on and off the basketball court and promoting academic excellence. More important than teaching the skill of basketball is the development of positive character traits and self-discipline. Within these qualities the potential of our players is unlimited. We offer the instruction, but the cooperation of the parents, sponsors, and supporters are the essential ingredients for keeping this organization successful.
