In the shadow of the premier team’s performance the Cal Supreme 16U EYBL team’s games may have gone unnoticed. Playing up in the 17U bracket the team composed of current rising Freshmen and Sophomores took on some of SoCal’s most respected programs. The result was a 3 of 4 outing with some commendable victories. Their lone loss came Saturday to the aggressive AZ Magic 17U team, who taught them the value of in your face defense. The scrappy young squad earned victories against the extremely well coached and highly respected LA Rockfish Flagship, Superior Athletes Black Elite (led by the Big Three comprised of Kendall Small, Stephen Thompson, Jeremy Hemsley), Earl Watson Elite 17 Silver. Not to shabby for the prelude to the EYBL Circuit.
