MaxPreps Holiday Classic
In the final days of 2013, Hoops Factory TV headed out to the desert for the MaxPreps Holiday Classic. The 2012 version included a classic final between Westchester High School and Fort Bend Travis, led by eventual Kentucky recruits Aaron & Andrew Harrison. On semi-final Sunday, we caught up with a trio from Capital Christian in Sacramento. Michigan recruit DJ Wilson was first up followed by Uchenna Iroegbu who will attend JuCo powerhouse, College of Southern Idaho and finally head coach, Devon Jones. Next up, JSerra Head Coach Jodey Gardner was a wealth of basketball knowledge spanning the timeline from Jerry West to James Harden. Before hitting the stretch run; we secure, with an assist from the Westchester assistant coaches, an exclusive interview with legendary Westchester coach Ed Azzam and senior Comet, Myles Stewart. We finish up with a trio from Utah’s American Fork High School led by BYU commit, Ryan Andrus. Brendan Baily, son of former Utah Jazz forward Thurl Bailey, also stopped by before Southern Utah University commit Tyler Rawson.
