Indihoops First Annual – What AAU Team Had Best Recruiting Class? 1-5

We will be releasing the Top 10 Recruiting Classes and if this is really popular maybe go to 25.  However, here is the Top 5.  Believe me this was really hard.  All 5 have an argument for #1
There was some criteria for what AAU/Grassroots/Club Team produced the best recruiting classes for 2014 players.  We went off ESPN rankings, what college they went to, will they impact right away, how good was there AAU team?, and volume of how many HM D1’s they had.

I don’t think this blog or concept has ever been done before, so we are very excited about it.  I anticipate much debate, so feel free or on the comments below.  We did a lot of voting on this with our staff based on the criteria.

– 5 Star Recruit *
– 3 Mcdonalds All American – MAA
– Ranking #

1.  Houston Hoops #12

Justin Jackson – UNC * MAA  #8
Kelly Oubre – Kansas * MAA #11
Justin Winslow – Duke * MAA #15
Khadeem Latin – Oklahoma – 4 Star Recruit
Leon Gilmore – Creighton

2. E1T1  #3

Won the EYBL Championship at Peach Jam

Grayson Allen – Duke * MAA #20
Joel Berry – UNC * MAA #16
D’Angelo Russell – Ohio St. * MCC  #13
Mike Gilmore – VCU – 4 Star
Kobe Eubanks – 3 Star Recruit/Unsigned
Sidney Umude – Youngstown St.

Theo Pinson – UNC * MAA  # 10
L.J. Peaks – Georgetown # 35
Gary Clark – Cincinatti (3 Time Indihoops Player of the Week)
Shelton Mitchell – Wake Forest
Torin Dorn – Charlotte
Parker Zennema – Army
Donovan Gilmore – Charleston
Mike Hughes – Georgia Southern
Markell Lodge – St. Joseph’s
Nate Mason – Minnesota

4.  Spiece Indy Heat – Honorable Mention

** They could be higher, but due to a criteria of them being just an Honorable Mention team, lost some points.  Still a DEADLY class.

James Blackmon – Indiana * MAA #19
Trey Lyles – UK * MAA #6
Trevon Blueitt – Xavier * 4 stars #45
Jaquan Lyle # 4 stars *41
Steven McElvene – Dayton
Justin Mitchell – Wright St.
Jonathan Wilkins –

5. Mac Irvin Fire#9

Another team that could be considered even higher by being top heavy and having potentially the debatable #1 player in the country at both front line spots and 2 potential 1 and dones..  Jahlil during AAU season had some injury problems.  However, after these 2, most of their 2014 “HEAT” drops off.

1. Cliff Alexander – Kansas * MAA # 3
2. Jahlil Okafor – Duke * MAA #1
3. Miles Reynolds – SLU
4. Josh Cunningham
5. Kain Harris
6. Pat McCaw

Stay tuned for 5-10.
