IndiWorld2: New York Dragons vs. Caron Butler Elite

The New York Dragons defeated Caron Butler Elite in the second round of the 2017 Indi World Championships by a score of 60-47. After going up 33-23 at halftime, the Dragons were too much for Caron Butler Elite as they move on to the next round.

Led by Jai Smith who finished with a dominant double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds, the Dragons were able to pull away in the second half. Jakobe Thompson of Caron Butler Elite led all scorers with 19 points but the Dragons’ balanced attack that saw three players in double figures, was able to get the win.

The Dragons dominated on all ends, winning the battle in the paint, and scoring more fast break and second chance points than Caron Butler Elite. The Dragons shot 48.2 percent from the field while Butler Elite shot 32.8 percent. The real difference came in the second half while the Dragons shot 56.5 percent from the field.

The Dragons will move on to face Seattle Rotary in the next round.
