In the second game of the day at the Indi World Championships, The San Diego Slayers defeated Lock Up Select 49-47 in another game that came down to the final seconds. Behind Kai Jessie’s 15 point, 15 rebound double-double, the Slayers were able to outscore Lock Up Select by four in the second half to steal a big win. Diego Solis also added 15 points for the Slayers, going 3-6 from three point range.
On the losing side, Dexter Stratton led Lock Up Select with 12points, while Melo Sanches finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Although they only shot 32.7 percent from the field, the Slayers made up for it with eight 2nd-chance points as opposed to Lock Up Select’s five. Lock Up Select had trouble taking care of the ball as they turned the ball over 15 times in the game. The Slayers did most of their damage from there as they shot 7-22 from behind the three point line.
