The New York Dragons defeated Seattle Select in the Indi World Championships by a score of 54-49 in another close game. With four players in double-figures, the Dragons were firing on all cylinders in their second consecutive victory. Jai Smith finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks for the Dragons, while Marcus Dyes led all scorers with 15 points.
On the losing side, JT Tuimoloau continued his stellar play with nine points and 12 rebounds but wasn’t able to come away with the victory. After shooting 35.7 percent from the field in the first half, the Dragons turned things around, shooting 64.7 percent in the second half. After going 1-8 from three in the first half, the Dragons opted for wiser shot selection only shooting one three pointer in the second half.
The Dragons did a good job of playing well-disciplined basketball, limiting fouls and only giving Seattle Select five chances from the line, where they shot 3-5.
