THE 11th  ANNUAL ROSE CITY SHOWCASE by NIKE 

TIPS OFF FRIDAY JUNE 7th, 2013 @ LEWIS & CLARK COLLEGE!!

Courtside Entertainment presents grassroots basketball at its finest!

Before Dwight Howard became an NBA All-Star, before Josh Smith and Gerald Green won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, before O.J. Mayo, Michael Beasley, and Kevin Love became All-Americans and before Brandon Rush and Mario Chalmers led Kansas to the 2008 NCAA Championship, they all had one thing in common – they participated in the Rose City Showcase by NIKE. Now in its eleventh year, the Showcase, held in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon, will once again serve as the host to the nation’s top grassroots basketball players and future college and NBA stars.

Opening Night of the RCS @ Lewis & Clark College will display some of the top talent in the nation.  AAU national powerhouses Spiece Indy Heat (IN.), Simply Fundamental (NV.), D.R.I.V.E. Canada (B.C.), Boise Hoop Dreams (ID.), ICP Elite (OR.), Oregon Pump n Run (OR.), I-5 Elite (OR.) and Seattle Rotary Select (WA.) will all battle for the 2013 RCS crown.

The event will be kicked off the evening of Friday June 7th with four power-packed, Super 17 match-ups, featuring many of the top players in the country from the classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016. Featured players include; Trey Lyles, James Blackmon, Trevon Blueitt, JaQuan Lyle, Caleb Swanigan, Kameron Chatman, Daniel Hamilton, Silas Melson, Arkadiy Mkrtychyan, Greyson Smallwood, Shaqquan Aaron, Tremaine Isabell, Josh Martin, Gabe Taylor and Victor Sanders just to name a few. The intensity continues through Sunday evening when the 2013 RCS Champion will be crowned at 6:30pm @ Lewis & Clark College.

Previous participants in the Rose City Showcase have included the likes of current NBA players Dwight Howard (Magic), Josh Smith (Hawks), Marvin Williams (Hawks), Martell Webster (Wizards), Randolph Morris (Knicks), Michael Beasley (Suns), Spencer Hawes (76ers), Rodney Stuckey (Pistons), Tyreke Evans (Kings) Jrue Holiday (76ers), Brandon Jennings (Bucks), Terrence Williams (Celtics), Brandon Rush (Pacers), Austin Daye (Pistons), Gerald Henderson (Bobcats), Wayne Ellington (T-Wolves), OJ Mayo (Mavericks), Bill Walker (Knicks), Luke Babbitt (Blazers), Mario Chalmers (Heat), Derrick Favors (Jazz)  Lance Stephenson (Pacers), Avery Bradley (Celtics), Quincy Poindexter (Grizzlies), Tony Wroten (Grizzlies) and Portland’s Own Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves), Terrence Ross (Raptors), Terrence Jones (Rockets) and Ndamukong Suh (Detroit Lions)

The Rose City Showcase “XI”….. by NIKE will field include 180 of the top boys AAU teams ages 9U-17U, to continue the tradition of featuring the NATIONS NEXT, on this exclusive Portland stage.

All Super 17’s feature games will be played at Lewis & Clark College. All other divisional games will tip off Saturday morning at Lewis & Clark College, Beaverton Hoop YMCA and the Eastmoreland Courts. For maps and detailed schedules please visit

• GM 2- 6:40pm – #2 ICP Elite (OR.) vs. #7 Oregon Pump N Run (OR.)

• GM 3- 7:50pm – #1 Indy Spiece Heat (IN.) vs. #8 I-5 Elite (OR.)
• GM 4- 9:00pm – #4 Seattle Rotary Select (WA.) vs. #5 D.R.I.V.E. Canada (BC.)

Saturday, June 8th – Tournament Games
• 5:20pm – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2
• 6:30pm – Loser of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4
• 7:40pm – Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
• 8:50pm – Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4

Sunday, June 9th  – Suck It Up, Consolation, 3rd Place and Championship Games
• 3:00pm –Rose City Showcase “Suck It Up” Game
• 4:10pm –Rose City Showcase “Consolation” Game
• 5:20pm –Rose City Showcase “3rd Place” Game
• 6:30pm –2012 Rose City Showcase “XI”…. by NIKE “Championship” Game
