We recently posted a blog on our website that seemed applicable to the Indihoop readers called The Stretch Provision. You can read it in its entirety by clicking here.
Essentially, it piggy backs on a series that Bill Simmons (of Grantland and ESPN) and Steve Nash did together about Nash’s process to try and get back to healthy and return to play at the end of this season.
But really, in a way, it’s about how precious the game is. It’s about what one NBA star, at the age of 40, was willing to do just to be able to play a little bit longer. And it hopefully drives home how important it can be for young players to realize this at an early age.
Because it will be gone before they know it.
You can read the blog here (plus there are links to the Bill Simmons article and the video series they put on YouTube).
