The New England Storm is an AAU Basketball organization, club # XTC685 established in August 2007 with a commitment to develop our players through an emphasis on fundamentals, skill building and strong competition, while remembering that they are still kids, and that basketball is meant to be fun. New England Storm's main goal is to develop basketball players and fine young men. We do not sell greatness in that we are not going to tell you how great your child is. We will work very hard to improve their games and give them the opportunity to play at the highest level they can. This may be making your travel team, high school varsity and for some the opportunity to play basketball at the collegiate level. Besides basketball we try to teach life skills while also having a wonderful experience. Our coaching staff has been together for the past five years and has over 90 years of combined experience in coaching youth basketball at all levels. They know basketball, and also know how to teach it and develop players. They also place a strong emphasis on the team and family concepts. We develop the whole player, we don't roll the ball out on the floor like some programs, we teach and our players get better. Our program is about the players. We strive to place players on teams and have those teams compete in a tournament schedule that will allow those players to develop and reach their full potential. All fees charged go directly to cover the costs of uniforms, tournaments, equipment, gear, aau cards and gym costs. Our program prides itself on communication and we will deliver what we promise We'll field teams for each AAU season based on our ability to provide quality coaching and the level of interest from players and parents as well as gym availability. Our first graduating class graduated high school in June 2011 with seven of them continuing their basketball careers at the collegiate level. Our 2012 graduating class has fourteen players that will play college basketball in 2012-13 We presently only run aau in the spring season (Our 10th and 11th graders have the opportunity to play during the summer also). During the summer and fall we provide workouts/clinics and camps and work in conjunction with some of the best teachers of the game of basketball. The Storm also works in conjunction with the Rick Gorman B.S.T. Basketball Academy. The New England Storm has quickly become one of the most respected AAU programs in New England
