There are many things that make the Atlantic Hoops Classic (AHC) a special event from the city of Halifax to the opportunities it creates for players, coaches, and fans.

The City of Halifax is rich with basketball tradition and has played host to over 25 University National Championships, Multiple Canadian 17u/15u National Championships. In 2004 it hosted the FIBA America U21 Championship which featured Many future NBA players such as Chris Paul- USA, JJ Barea, Hassan Adams, Charlie Villanaueva, and this past year hosted the first FIBA World Qualifier featuring Team Canada and team Bahamas, these are just a few of the events the city has played host to.

AHC is situated perfectly for Student Athlete recruitment and exposure as there are many colleges and universities within driving distance of Halifax which boasts 4 universities and 1 College within the city alone, and 3 more universities within 2 hours of the city. So when you add all the schools within an 8-10 hour drive, we have created something special at the right time of year.

The most amazing thing about the AHC is that the winners of all division will quilify to participate in one off two major events which are the Indiworlds 3 (14/15 boys) and the Zero Gravity Final (Boys & Girls)

When you have all of this it is the making of a great event for players, coaches and fans.
