Union Panthers is a recreational travel basketball team for 7th and 8th grade boys. It came about due to the lack of a travel team in the community. It was created by Head Coach, Clarence Gordon for the love of his son, the game and the children. Through the bond and friendship of our children, Assistant Coach, Lorne Bennett and Team Mom, LaTasha Brown signed on board to help. We are based out of the Union Boys & Girls Club where all players are required to be members. In addition, we require each player to make sure their grades are up to par, as we do check report cards and progress reports during the season. We are student-athletes and education comes first. The Union Panthers' season usually starts in November and runs thru late July/early August. Throughout the season we participate in various leagues, tournaments and scrimmages within the New Jersey and New York areas.
